Good morning!
I found a pattern for a cute little crinkly ball and couldn’t
wait to get out my hook and yarn and get to work! I made this little ball for
one of my sweet nephews who is here for a visit. It didn’t take very long, so I
will probably make a couple more for him.
The yarn I used was Peaches
& Cream and I just stuffed it with a couple of plastic shopping bags
(you know, the kind that you get by the thousands when you go shopping).
Anyway, here is the pattern!
Hook size “H”
Cotton Yarn (1 ball)
Stitch Marker
Yarn Needle
Stuffing: 2 plastic shopping bags
ch=chain
sc=single crochet
st=stitch
sc2tog=single crochet 2 together (insert hook in next stitch, yo, pull up a
loop, insert hook in next stitch, yo, pull up a loop, yo, pull through all 3
loops on hook)
Round 1: ch 2, 6sc in 2nd ch from hook.
*Beginning with Round 2, place your marker in the first stitch
of each round.*
Round 2: 2 sc in each sc
Round 3: (2 sc in next st, sc in next st) around
Round 4: (sc in next 2 st, 2 sc in next st) around
Round 5: Repeat Round 4
Round 6: sc in each st
Rounds 7-12: Repeat Round 6
Round 13: (sc2tog, sc in next 2 st) around
Round 14: (sc2tog, sc in next st) around
*Stuff
with bags*
Round 15: sc2tog around
Round 16: Repeat Round 15
Finishing: Leave 6 inches of yarn and fasten off, then
weave it through the opening using the yarn needle.
Enjoy!
Daisy
